Got some BF Goodrich rugged terrains installed on the Mercury. Got a great deal on them as they ended production on these a couple months ago.
I ordered them from simpletire.com and had them installed at my local discount tire. I’d recommend simpletire, very professional.

Came here to say that.

And thus it was that the Grand Marquis completed its transformation into a truck, though none could pick the exact moment that it stopped being a car and became something... more.

I think I might paint the wheels black once it warms up.

Need side armor :)

I think it actually looks awesome with those wheels, if anything get the fancier ones with even more aggressive offroad tires.
I wonder if you can swap a transfer case into it and make a 4x4 grand marquis.....

Beautiful.

I tried to fit all terrains but they didn’t have any compatible sizes.

I would never recommend someone go to a website that supplies parts for donks
BUT
because you want to put All Terrains on it and not crazy giant wheels
http://universalcarlifts.com/product_info.p…
3" spacer lift for only $64. Then you can get some big meaty tires under it.

I will probably go down this road when the air suspension gives out, and I switch over to rear coils. Side note, I wouldn’t trust anything on that site. I’d much rather weld my own.

That’s great! I’ve been considering using truck tires for snow duty. What size is that? 235/60R16? It’s hard to read in the pic.

Your bumper turned out awesome!

Yup thats exactly the size. They were on sale for about 85 each on simple tire (plus shipping).

Such an oddball size. Tire Rack doesn’t even list it for that tire. Boy, shipping is not cheap. I wonder if I can find those locally.

lol, I don’t know that I would trust $64 spacer set either.
We just did a Rough Country Suspensions 2" spacer lift on our Commander this summer.
It was awesome.

If only Michigan would oblige us with some white stuff.

Oh hush, Donks are awesome.

They most certainly are not.

Yeah being able to run a 10 second 1/4 on 28 inch wheels is lame

I’m just not into big wheels.
Also after watching that video I can’t believe they had any tire left at all when they did those burn outs. I’m glad they’re building the motors in these though and not just lifting/throwing on big wheels.
I also like that the Donk culture has saved a lot of classic cars that would’ve just been junked.
Doesn’t mean I have to like the cars though.

And then there’s builds like this 1,200hpbig block twin turbo Impala.

Yeah really I’ve only gotten to play in the Lifted Commander in about 3 inches of snow so far this year. Intentionally powerslid it for some minor oppo though because I knew where an ice patch was.
That was fun.

I mean like I said, I’d rather them build this thing then it end up in a junkyard abandoned, and that’s a badass engine build.
Can’t stand the look of the car though. Wheels/tires are very important to the final look of car, this kills it for me.
You also know damn well the majority of donks have had nothing done under the hood and nothing done to upgrade the brakes after adding heavy ass wheels to each corner.

I LOOOOVE this bumper.

Thanks, I like to think of it as a mini cow-catcher! I think the rear came out nice as well.

Yes! Love that too!
